A little about me

Also known as "Virginia Slim"  I endorse Josey Custom Cues and am actively seeking additional sponsors.

I've enjoyed shooting pool competitively since my early teen years and in early 2000 decided to try my hand at the pro tour. It took a while to figure out the regional tour qualifying system, but I got behind it 100% and broke into the pro ranks in 2002.  (See On the Road for more of my history prior to joining the WPBA.)

I enjoy sharing my love of the sport and offer lessons and exhibitions between events.

Born on the beautiful and historical Virginia coast, I recently moved from Northfield, Ohio, to Sanford, Florida (just outside of Orlando).  While continuing to travel to play on the WPBA Classic Tour, I was proud to complete my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.

Although practicing and playing on the pro tour takes up a lot of time, there are lots of other things I enjoy doing.  You might find me reading, cooking, bowling, working on muscle cars, or, of course, sitting at my computer.  Among my latest passions is Texas Hold'em, and I don't play that "like a girl" either.

Did I mention that I served in the U.S. Army?  Last year, upon mentioning this to a fan, Mickey, I discovered that he is Commander of the DAV Chapter 5, in Wrentham, MA.  Since the military and billiards have a long history together, we're developing a program for disabled former military players.  Mickey and I finally got to meet in person a few weeks ago, when his organization held a meeting in Cocoa Beach.  See On the Road to read about and see pictures of those memorable two evenings
